This was the first image I took through my telescope back in January of 2019. The Orion nebula is very bright by astronomical terms, and can be visible to the naked eye under a dark sky. It's about 1,344 light years from Earth and about 24 light years across. The small nebula to the left is called the Running Man nebula.
